LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo take one step closer to MLS Cup Finals on Dec. 1st, 2012.

With 3 goals in by the Galaxy and the defense putting up a shut out verses the Sounders, LA looks

tough to beat. Robbie Keane continues his tear on goal and Landon Donovan keeps setting the table.

Nov. 18th is the last match to show the Sounders have what it takes to over come the Galaxy. DC

United started with a goal against Houston, but soon gave up 3 goals to a red hot Dynamo club who

maybe the East team to claim the MLS Cup Dec 1st.  All four teams play again Nov. 18th to see who moves on. [Read more...]

Seattle Sounders And DC United Live On To Play Another Playoff Match

Seattle Sounders And DC United live on to play another match after victories in their conference

semifinals on Nov. 8th. The Sounders had to travel to Rio Tinto Stadium to take beat Real Salt Lake

by a 1-0 margin in a close defensive match. Seattle next has to travel to LA to face the Galaxy on

their home turf Nov. 11th to see who moves on in the Western Division. DC United also produced a clean

sheet after shutting out the NY Red Bulls in the Eastern Division, with a 1-0 victory. United next travels

to Houston to take on the red hot Dynamo who are playing some great ball of late. One sad note for DC

United fans, Andy Najar will be sitting out the next two games because he threw the soccer ball

at the ref in the Red Bull game. On one good note for the Red Bull Club they announced before the

match that the club will donate $125,000 to hurricane relief funds in New Jersey and New York, as well

Top College Soccer Teams Undefeated In 2012

Top college soccer teams undefeated in 2012, some only 1 and 2 losses going into the NCAA tourney.

Here Are Some Undefeated NCAA Division 1 Men’s Soccer Teams As Of Oct. 3rd 2012, looking to

go far in the tournament in November. Maryland Terps lead the pack with a record of 8-0-1 so far

in 2012 fall competition. Following them are the U Conn Huskies with a 9-0-1 record on the line.

At 10-0-1 Georgetown Hoyas are putting on a show in Washington DC and can’t wait for that top spot.

Marquette and UC-Santa Barbara also have 10-0 and 7-0 records as the month of October gets rolling.

Indoor Soccer Time And Simple Drills

Indoor Soccer season is right around the corner, start looking for indoor shoes and get warmed

up. Adidas has a good shoe out there called the Predator Absolado, and the indoor shoe review

looks good. Soccer drills for indoor are much like outdoor soccer, may drills can be made into games.

Relay races and games like red light/green light also sharks n minnows are kid favorites. Get the

Wall Passing, Dribbling, And Shooting Drills

Wall passing and though balls help the offensive minded player get into these drills, because they end

with a shot on goal. All good teams work on triangle passing and setting up the defense to open up for

a chance on goal. Here are some dribbling drills using cones, and games / relays that keeping the drills

Ask Carli Lloyd how that GOLD medal feels around her neck !  Two goals from Lloyd and USA WINS…

Redemption was the word going into the Gold Medal match between Team USA and Japan. In front

of 80,000 plus at Wembley Stadium, the US team went up 2 to nill and coasted to a 2-1 victory, making

it a 3 peat on Gold medals for Team USA. Alex Morgan, Abby Wambach, Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe,

Heather O’Reilly, Kelley O’Hara, Tobin Heath and Sydney Leroux all helped in giving Captain Christie

Rampone retirement party she’ll never forget and now her 4th Olympic Medal. Watch all the goals in

Top 5 Winningest Soccer Coaches, Terry Michler tops the list with 845 wins from 1972 to 2011.

Miller Bugliari and Gene Chyzowych both have over 746 wins, and both have success New Jersey

soccer teams. Greg Vitello and Vince Drake had over 716 wins and with Terry Michler had successful

St. Louis MO programs. Many of these coaches have had great young soccer players and have helped

them in U18 programs. Here is a list of some the hottest goals scores in the U18 category in some of

Montreal Impact Gets Run Over By Red Bulls

The New York Red Bulls trying to stay on top of the Eastern Division of the MLS, taking one from

Montreal’s Impact. With two penalty kicks on questionable calls ties it by halftime, the Red Bulls

even go down to 10 players when Paulson gets his second yellow card. The game winner came from

D Richards on a great shot from 15 yards out. With only 10 players and a 5 game winning streak, the

Columbus Crew Over FC Dallas With A 2-1 Victory

Justin Meram scores to tie the game after The Columbus Crew gave a goal to FC Dallas in

the early minutes of the match. Meram with a great 27 yard shot into the lower corner. Then

in the 72nd minute Sabastian Miranda hits a 20 yard header off a corner kick to send FC

Using ball feints and moves to get around cones really help young players get the touch of the ball.

Also working on both feet and the inside/outside part of the foot. More touches, better dribbling.
