LA Galaxy and Houston Dynamo take one step closer to MLS Cup Finals on Dec. 1st, 2012.

With 3 goals in by the Galaxy and the defense putting up a shut out verses the Sounders, LA looks

tough to beat. Robbie Keane continues his tear on goal and Landon Donovan keeps setting the table.

Nov. 18th is the last match to show the Sounders have what it takes to over come the Galaxy. DC

United started with a goal against Houston, but soon gave up 3 goals to a red hot Dynamo club who

Seattle Sounders And DC United live on to play another match after victories in their conference

semifinals on Nov. 8th. The Sounders had to travel to Rio Tinto Stadium to take beat Real Salt Lake

by a 1-0 margin in a close defensive match. Seattle next has to travel to LA to face the Galaxy on

their home turf Nov. 11th to see who moves on in the Western Division. DC United also produced a clean

sheet after shutting out the NY Red Bulls in the Eastern Division, with a 1-0 victory. United next travels

to Houston to take on the red hot Dynamo who are playing some great ball of late. One sad note for DC

United fans, Andy Najar will be sitting out the next two games because he threw the soccer ball

at the ref in the Red Bull game. On one good note for the Red Bull Club they announced before the

match that the club will donate $125,000 to hurricane relief funds in New Jersey and New York, as well

DC United is on a great run for the playoffs in Oct 2012, they are only points away. After 4 out

of 5 in the win category, the men in black are playing great defense to get a playoff seeding. Against

The New England Revolution, DC got down 1-0 in the 29th minute, only to turn around 2 minutes

later to score on a crossing run that left the ball on a great long shot making it 1-1. In the second half

the defense stiffened and in the 63rd minute after a “Play On” call by the ref, DC got the winner to take

the 3 points away from the Revolution. In the latest match against Toronto FC, both teams had a clean

sheet going into the 87th minute, when Toronto’s Goal Keeper made a big error and gave an easy goal to Salahi. [Read more...]

Two Consistent MLS Clubs Sporting KC And Seattle Sounders

 

 

 

 

 

Feddy Montero with a hat trick makes Chivas USA wondering how to cover him. Seattle Sounders in

the top 3 of the Western Division in the MLS, and running hot for the playoffs. Chivas USA had no

defense in this match and a 6-2 thumping came from the Sounders club. Another club playing

consistent soccer in Kansas City KS. The Sporting KC fan base should be proud of their first place club

as the take care of DC United in a tight match. Teal Bunbury gets a great head ball goal in the 13th min.

to set the stage for Sporting KC. Then a defensive error in the 23rd minute puts DC United complaints

Chicago Fire are hot right now, with two victories in Sept., that 6 points puts them in 2nd place in the

Eastern Division. Beating the Houston Dynamo in early Sept. by a 3-1 score, they putting the heat

on the East soccer teams. With Marco Pappa gone and others team members moving on, Coach Frank

Klopas has the Fire hitting on all cylinders. Toronto FC got down quick to the red hot Chicago FC giving

up 2 goals in the first half of their match acouple days ago. The Fire almost had another shutout, but

one defensive lapse gave up the clean sheet to this Canadian FC, the 3 points still went to Chicago. [Read more...]

MLS All Star Game vs Chelsea FC And Lessons In Soccer

 

 

 

 

 

 

MLS All-Stars took on Champions League Winners Chelsea FC in an exciting match to watch.

Chris Wondolowski from San Jose Earthquakes starts off the scoring for the MLS squad. Then Chelsea

goes up 2 to 1 on the 57th minute in the second half. At the 72 minute mark, the MLS team levels it.

In the 91st minute, Eddie Johnson wins it with a defensive deflection, and a great match by both teams.

This last lesson, is playing your hardest to the final whistle as the Fire had the Earthquakes beaten.

Landon Dovovan two plus one goal from Robbie Keane means doom for Chivas USA. In a cross town

classic match, the Super Clasico goes to the LA Galaxy moving them into the middle of the Western

Conference race. Donovan must of hit the post 3 times in this game, making the score only 3 to 1, it

could have been 5 to 1 easily. Good though passes from Beckham, and a goal from his bending

This match was in the hand of FC Dallas by the 26th minute, with the goal post being the

goal keepers best friend though out the first half. The second half, the rout was on. The long

shot goals to see here from FC Dallas were exciting to watch.  A good visual here for keeping

North vs. South in MLS California style, what a back and forth match between these 2 clubs.

David Beckham scores another free kick gem and the LA Galaxy seemed to be hitting on all cylinders.

Landon Donovan was Johnny on the spot with another mix up in the San Jose defense, picking up

another goal for the Galaxy. Give it to the Earthquakes, they never gave up, with the 3-3 equalizer in

the 46th minute. Many chances for San Jose to knock in the 4th goal, then finally Chris Wondolowski

saves the day for league leading Earthquakes. How did Goal Keeper Bingham do it with so many shots?

Chicago Fire Slip Past Columbus Crew 2-1 With Only 10 Men

 

 

 

 

 

 
Marco Pappa strikes a 28 year shot into the upper right window of the goal in 1 minute and 45 seconds

into the match setting the tone for this MLS match. Crew’s Keeper Gruenebaum had no chance at

saving that blast that caught the mid-field off guard. The second goal comes only 19 minutes later

off a throw in mid field. Watch how Grazzini sets up D. Oduro with a great thru ball and wonderful

finish by the Fire striker putting the men in red up 2-0. Then 5 minutes later Segrres slides into a

red card, putting the Fire down to 10 men the rest of the match. Tony Tchani on the Crew finally

gets a goal, but too little offense too late for the men in yellow.
