Chelsea FC Win EPL 2016-17

Chelsea FC Win EPL 2016-17 after dominating most of the season. All of the efforts exerted not only by the players of Chelsea in training hard but also their manager in showing his continuous support for the team seems to have paid off well, when they successfully brought back the championship from winning the EPL this year. This victory of the team allowed them to earn their 5th title in the last 12 years. This is the reason why they are considered to be one of the country’s best team, especially now that they have proven it yet again with their 1-0 score against West Brom.

For this victory of Chelsea, there is no doubt that their manager, Antonio Conte has played a very important role, especially when he brought in Gianluca Spinelli to be their goalkeeping coach. Because of this decision of his, many people, especially the fans of the team has witnessed an improvement in terms of the performances of Thibaut Courtois this season. It was also a great move for the team to have signed N’ Golo Kante, who is known for doing the work of two men and bringing back David Luiz. On the other hand, during their winning run, Chelsea was also able to beat Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Everton and Manchester United and this equaled the record that were set by Arsenal in a single season.

Now, when it comes to the best players of the team for this season, Cesar Azpilicueta is included in the list for he has shown great versatility throughout the entire season, being given 5 position and being able to fulfill his job well. In addition to that, he is also the player who has produced more passes as compared to the other players in the Premier League this season. Apart from Cesar, Eden Hazard, dubbed as Chelsea’s Ronaldo, also showed a great performance. He was dubbed as the 2nd most fouled player in this season. Of course, we should also not forget N’ Golo Kante, who already won the Football Writer’s Association’s Award and the PFA Players’ Player of the Year Award.

On the other hand, the opponents of the team also did their best, although it wasn’t enough for them to be able to return in victory. Nevertheless, we also cannot deny the fact that they have great players as well like Harry Kane of Tottenham and Leroy Sane from Man City. However, although Arsenal do have Mesut Ozil, they have experienced a couple of bad results, especially when they were defeated by Chelsea and Bayern Munich. Also, while Liverpool has been doing a great job on the first half of the season, things have started to go wrong in the latter part of the season, with some of their players becoming injured.

All in all, Chelsea deserves to Win the EPL 2017. Nevertheless, all of the teams who have participated this season deserves to be given a loud applause. After all, they were able to give us a very good game and season overall. On the other hand, with the bar set high, let’s look forward on whether Tottenham Hotspur, Manchester City, Everton, Manchester United and Arsenal would be able to recover next season. Chelsea FC Win EPL 2016-17, can they do it again next year?

Leicester City Wins EPL 2015-2016 Season

Leicester Outfoxes The Competition And Wins It All

You’ve got slightly better odds at being killed in a car crash. Slightly better than what? Slightly better than Leicester City’s chances of winning the Premier League at the beginning of this football season. Yet, the club fought against the five thousand to one odds and won the league. It was the first time since 1978 that a recently promoted second tier team has accomplished this feat – the last was Nottingham Forest. Nobody saw he East Midlands team coming, least of all Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United who couldn’t snag a win from the Foxes during their 22 and 36 season (they only lost three times all year, a feat in and of itself). This victory is made all the more poignant by the fact that Leicester is a small market team. The city itself isn’t that big and the team came in fourth in terms of player salaries by spending 48.2 million pounds. Manchester United spent 203 million pounds this year, for those of you counting that’s over four times as much. This goes to show that brilliant coaching (handled beautifully by Claudio Ranieri) and a drive to win can count for more than pounds in terms of winning the league. What this says to English Football is that it’s really not about who can spend more money or attract the biggest sponsors. It truly is still about heart, and millions of kids worldwide take to the pitch every day for just that reason. That’s not to say that money isn’t still heavily involved, but it’s good to know that it’s not always the predominant factor in football – A message that’s sorely needed after the FIFA fiasco of last year. And it’s telling that Gianni Infantino said of the Foxes win “It’s the magic of football.” Because hard work, mental fortitude, fair play, and talent couldn’t possibly have had anything to do with it, and talent clearly wasn’t a problem for Leicester City this year. Jamie Vardy was awarded the Guinness World Record for most goals scored in a Premier League season. Number 9 scored twenty-two goals. That’s right, folks, 22 goals this season. This isn’t meant to take anything away from the efforts of his mates like Captain Wes Morgan or the acrobatic Kasper Schmeichel, but it truly is a phenomenal feat. So rejoice Leicester. There definitely will not be any relegation next year, at least not for your club. Yet, with every sunny day there is always the threat of a dark cloud – one must wonder how Leicester will handle being top dogs . . . er, foxes next season. The buck with the biggest rack always has the largest price on his head and the top contenders of the Premier League will be furiously tracking the foxes scent.

Cheers for Leicester City Wins EPL 2015-2016 Season

NWSL Playoffs Are Here

Chicago RedStars FC  NWSL playoffs are here and teams/fans are excited.

After an exciting 2015 campaign during a World Cup

year, the women are ready to crown another

champion. After FC Kansas City won it last year and

Seattle Reign won it two years ago, the third season is about to end on a high note.

The Chicago Red Stars are on a mission to be

the best here in 2015, but the Washington Spirit

with Golden Boot winner Crystal Dunn might have something to say about that. The great thing is,

all soccer fans get to enjoy this top notch competition, and see football at it’s finest right here in the

US. Chicago’s head coach Rory Dames says his “team is ready to go”, after playing the Houston Dash

to a 1-1 draw Sunday Sept 6th in Toyota Park. Christen Press late goal from an assist off the head of

Julie Johnston, saved the momentum from a late year loss to a draw and positive energy flowing to

Sundays rematch with FC Kansas City. Coach Vlatko Andonovski has FC KC ready to come into

Chicago with Amy Rodriguez on fire right now with two goals and one assist in their last match

of the year. This will a great match with both teams only one point from each other in the standings,

also a nice mix of World Cup champs with Heather O’Reilly, Lauren Holiday, Becky Sauerbrunn,

along with Rodriguez to play against the Red Stars with Christen Press, Julie Johnston, and Lori

Chalupny. The Red Stars are showing amazing young talented first year players, but the whole

team is solid from top to bottom. Goalie Karina LeBlanc, just announced her retirement, and goalie

Michele Dalton both had a great 2015 season. Defenders Arin Gilliland, Abby Erceg, Julie Johnston,

Michelle Lomnicki, Samatha Johnson, Taryn Hemmings and Rachel Quon all are very tough to beat.

Excellent midfielders Danielle Colaprico, Vanessa DiBernardo, Lori Chalupny, Mary Luba, Zakiya

Bywaters, and Alyssa Mautz keep the possession and passing alive. The speed and striking proof

comes from  Adriana Leon, Jen Hoy, Christen Press, Sofia Huerta, Cara Wells, and Melissa Tancredi

who all put the Red Stars into the playoffs. Seattle Reign get to host the Washington Spirit next Sunday

the 13th, with Seattle pulling in 43 points for the 2015 season earns them NWSL Shield award for most

points in the season. Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe, Kim Little, and Lauren Barnes from Seattle will

all have to slow down the Spirit’s Crystal Dunn and her supporting cast strong players Ali Krieger,

Megan Oyster, and Spirit goalie Ashlyn Harris will be ready for the mighty Reign of Seattle.

Good luck Laura Harvey head coach of Seattle and Mark Parsons of Washington’s head coach.

2016 is right around the corner, look out for Houston Dash, Portland Thorns FC, Western NY

Flash, BlueSky FC, and Boston Breakers all look to be in the playoffs next year, and everything can change in a year.

NWSL playoffs are here, go out and support it, it will be exciting football.

Chelsea Win English Premier League 2014-15

sergio kun aguero

Chelsea win English Premier League 2014-15 and Sergio Kun Aguero of  last years champs

Manchester City hauls in the Barclays Golden Boot award. Kun Aguero tried hard to keep Man City

close to the high power Blue team from Chelsea, but even his 26 goals this season couldn’t keep the

light blue Etihad Airlines wearing squad up to Mourinho’s pace. Chelsea had control of this table

almost for three quarters of this 2014-2015 season. Even though the Chelsea faithful called the manger

out for the “Not Sexy Football” style of play, the defensive / ball control minded Jose Mourinho brought

the Blues another title making that Five since 1954. Mourinho wins everywhere he goes, as unsexy as

it is, it’s still winning football and hopefully the fans of Chelsea see the end result of focused effort of a

52 year old genius placed with a well matched club of winning players. John Terry, one of the three top

defenders in the EPL again keep the opponents at bay as Eden Hazard (midfielder) played a huge part

in keeping in some of the biggest matches of 2015. Mourinho’s defensive minded squad would lull you

asleep and Hazard and Diego Costa would strike thru tucking away the goals to get those 3 points to

move on. Man City and Arsenal pushed Chelsea for most the season and even Manchester City showed

some promise to challenge the Blue squad, but even with some injuries Chelsea, the other squads

inconsistencies left the Red and Light Blue in the top 4. Individual success this year finds a new

Tottenham Hotspur hero in the form of one Harry Kane. The new young striker put in 21 goals this

year just one more than Diego Costa of Chelsea, who was out for five matches this season only to

come back in the last two matches to finish the season strong. South Hampton, Swansea City, and

Stoke City all had a decent year this 2015, making it up to the top 9 of the table, looking to improve

more next year and challenge in 2016. A warm good-bye to Liverpool legend Steven Gerrard and

equal legend Frank Lampard(West Ham, Swansea, Chelsea, Man City) both a goals in their last

matches as they walk away from EPL to head over the pond to the MLS and help Americans see two

of England’s greats up close in NY and LA. Hull City, Burnley, and Queen Park Rangers struggled at

the end of the 2015 season and will hit relegation to the second league as Aston Villa and Sunderland

breathe a sye of relief, another off season to get better. New Castle made it interesting towards the end,

only to get enough goals to keep the black n white in the premier league, hopefully John Carver

can regroup the squad over the break. Chelsea win English Premier League 2014-15, and next year

looks like a tough team to beat, but EPL changes every year.  Enjoy the winners of 2014-2015

10 Fastest Hat-Tricks And Men In Blazers Highlights

Davo and Rog

10 fastest hat-tricks and Men in Blazers highlights what a way to put a smile on your face in February.

Shake those winter blues with 10 players who would not be denied on the mission of scoring goals

quickly. Of these top 10 records most were scored between 3 to 7 minutes of time which is amazing

in and by itself. However, two stories of this feat stand out, in 2004, playing for Bournemouth,

James Hayter scored 3 goals in only 140 seconds of time in a division two match with Wexham.

Hayter was celebrating his new son being born just days before the match and turn into a

record-breaking day. Then a second story came out in 2013 about a Sheffield Sunday player,

Alex Torr, got his hat trick in just 70 seconds of game time play, which seems unimaginable but

others have confirmed it. Also a 17 year old in 2012 scored 3 in under 3 minutes in a Finnish Premier

League match and that feat went to wonderkid Joel Pohjanpalo. Recently in the English Premier

League, Sadio Mane from Southhampton FC vs Ashton Villa in May of 2015, he knocked in 3 within

2 minutes 56 seconds. Some videos are below and the other

7 names and player can be found on Bleacher Report article link here. Men in Blazers continues to

rip up the football world with hilarious insights to EPL matches and fantastic awards of great American

footballers, with the recent award of the Golden Blazer to the great Julie Foudy. After an amazing hall

of fame career, US All Star, World Cup Winner, Olympic Gold Winner, amazing announcer on ABC and

ESPN amongst others gigs for US soccer, just a class above the rest. After following in the foot steps

of the great Bob Ley as the 2014 Golden Blazer winner last year from Rog and Davo, Foudy will surely

carry that torch in 2015. Congrads Julie, you deserve that great honor.

US National Soccer Hall of Fame And Great Goals In 2015

Goal Brian McBride

US National Soccer Hall of Fame and great goals in 2015 go together like bread n butter.

The three new inductees into the US Soccer hall of fame in 2015 will be Kristine Lilly, Brian McBride,

and Coach Bob Bradley. All three set big goals for the soccer careers, but probably not one them ever

dreamed to be in the hall of fame through out all their years of playing and coaching. However setting

goals from year to year is the ear mark for great players and individuals. Kristine said it was to enjoy

and have fun with the game, Brian said it was for his teammates and coach Bob said it was for the

success of the whole team is why they worked so hard for all of those years. Kristine goes into the hall

with over 352 international competition appearances, also called caps, 130 goals scored, two Olympic

Gold Medals and two World Cup Championships. Brian McBride, the Chicago boy from Buffalo Grove IL,

the St. Louis University superstar, after over a 18 year pro career and teams in England, Europe,

and MLS all had the pleasure to see this work horse at his best. 101 International caps and 30 goals for

the US team, 137 goals in the pro’s, MVP awards and Captain of many of the teams he played for,

Brian deserves this award and honor. Coach Bob Bradley, after over 30 years in coaching both college

and pro’s all over the world, and helped the US Mens Soccer team get to higher ground in International

play during the early 2000’s to bring US soccer to the top 16 team in the world. With MLS, Gold Cup

and  US Open Cup championships under his belt, coach Bob has been there for the growth of US

soccer for over 20 years now. Congrads to all and all were very deserving.. Watch some great videos

below and look up the US National Soccer Hall of Fame and great goals in 2015. [Read more…]

Football Facts And Soccer Terms

Lothar Matthaus Most World Cup Apperences     Football facts and soccer terms are fun for coaches to throw around when

talking about this beautiful game. Because in the United States this game is

called Soccer, but everywhere else in the world it’s known as Football,

slightly confusing for most Americans. But since we didn’t invent it,

the terms of the game tend to confuse the new participant.

What’s the touch line?  Who gets the corner kick?  Is a goal kick like a penalty kick? Why is one

player offsides when the other one isn’t? Some say the game was first recorded being played in

Cuju and England in the 1800’s were playing it in the neighborhoods. Also the first known league

was set up in England in 1888, and the FIFA organization we know today was founded in 1904 in

Paris. Acouple of great fun articles about soccer terms and some football facts come from this

10 Soccer Things by Paste Magazine and this neat Brandon Gaille article about 44 Catchy

Soccer Slogans. We laughed at some of these slogans that you might see in Jr. High and High

School locker rooms, but they do make it fun, here 10 of them.

Bustin’ ours to kick yours.
Can’t should never be in an athletes vocabulary.
Don’t go through life without goals.
Eat, Sleep, Play Soccer.
Everyone should have a goal to conquer. I believe I’ll conquer yours.
For the love of the Game.
Heading to the top.
If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me.
If winning isn’t everything, why do they keep score?
If you don’t got guts don’t play the game.
If you’re not playing with all your heart, someone else is, and when you meet her, she’ll win.

Many great sites on the web have soccer terms, here three that we found with good info and easy to search

Best Soccer Dribbling Drills And Shooting Tips

Ronaldo Dribbling

Best soccer dribbling drills and shooting tips are always in demand. Moving the ball to set up your team mates

and putting the defense into an uncomfortable position, is the goal of any attacking player. Messi and

Ronaldo are two of the best currently, every 7 years it seems to change to a couple new young

maestro’s. Keeping the ball close with small touches and keeping your speed n balance is always the

trick. Small touches to the left n right while using your inside or outside part of your foot is the skill to be

mastered. Practice jogging with the ball first, then after 3 laps around your area, pick up the pace using

the same technique, get better at a couple moves first before moving on and adding feints. Feints are

the key to keeping defenders guessing where are you going. Use some cones in the beginning but after

a while, dribble with other people at the same time and see if you can all miss each other as you dribble

at the other players with their soccer balls. Learn how to keep your eyes up so you can see the field of

players and work on just stopping the ball, it doesn’t always have to go forward. Practice shielding your

ball as you hold on to possession to see what opens up for your teammates. Great dribbling can lead to

great scoring chances. Shooting is the finished product of a great scoring attack. Watch how these best

soccer dribbling drills and shooting tips help your attacking soccer skills. Some great attacking soccer here on this English Premier League Highlights.

Free Kick Plays And Goals On Set Plays In MLS

Vancouver Whitecaps vs. Portland Timbers

Free kick plays and goals on set plays in MLS action. In mid-May MLS teams are seeing

success on set piece play with the free kick goal scoring. Balls curled into the upper corner, and

balls flicked by the keepers on set piece headers, were some of the big goals for the Whitecaps and

FC Dallas matches this week. Sanvezzo of Vancouver and Cooper of FC Dallas both had beautiful goals

off of set pieces during these free kicks awarded to their respective clubs. Eddie Johnson of the Seattle

Sounders continues to be red hot as the Sounders cooled down Dallas with a 4-2 thumping in Seattle.

The FC defense looked stunned as Johnson and Neagle scored in the first 30 minutes putting Dallas in

a hole they could not over come. Meanwhile, Portland’s Will Johnson’s PK quiets down the Whitecap

crowd to tie up the score on a hard fought battle in Vancouver. Two minutes later it’s Koffie of Vancouver

who curls one by the Timber keeper to put the Whitecaps up a goal. Then the Timbers go down a man

with a foul from Futty, and he was red carded with a send off. With only 10 men the Timbers find the

back of the net with Valencia who strokes his first MLS goal. Timbers tie the Whitecaps in a well played match between two Western division foe’s. [Read more…]
