Leicester City Wins EPL 2015-2016 Season

Leicester Outfoxes The Competition And Wins It All

You’ve got slightly better odds at being killed in a car crash. Slightly better than what? Slightly better than Leicester City’s chances of winning the Premier League at the beginning of this football season. Yet, the club fought against the five thousand to one odds and won the league. It was the first time since 1978 that a recently promoted second tier team has accomplished this feat – the last was Nottingham Forest. Nobody saw he East Midlands team coming, least of all Chelsea, Manchester City, and Manchester United who couldn’t snag a win from the Foxes during their 22 and 36 season (they only lost three times all year, a feat in and of itself). This victory is made all the more poignant by the fact that Leicester is a small market team. The city itself isn’t that big and the team came in fourth in terms of player salaries by spending 48.2 million pounds. Manchester United spent 203 million pounds this year, for those of you counting that’s over four times as much. This goes to show that brilliant coaching (handled beautifully by Claudio Ranieri) and a drive to win can count for more than pounds in terms of winning the league. What this says to English Football is that it’s really not about who can spend more money or attract the biggest sponsors. It truly is still about heart, and millions of kids worldwide take to the pitch every day for just that reason. That’s not to say that money isn’t still heavily involved, but it’s good to know that it’s not always the predominant factor in football – A message that’s sorely needed after the FIFA fiasco of last year. And it’s telling that Gianni Infantino said of the Foxes win “It’s the magic of football.” Because hard work, mental fortitude, fair play, and talent couldn’t possibly have had anything to do with it, and talent clearly wasn’t a problem for Leicester City this year. Jamie Vardy was awarded the Guinness World Record for most goals scored in a Premier League season. Number 9 scored twenty-two goals. That’s right, folks, 22 goals this season. This isn’t meant to take anything away from the efforts of his mates like Captain Wes Morgan or the acrobatic Kasper Schmeichel, but it truly is a phenomenal feat. So rejoice Leicester. There definitely will not be any relegation next year, at least not for your club. Yet, with every sunny day there is always the threat of a dark cloud – one must wonder how Leicester will handle being top dogs . . . er, foxes next season. The buck with the biggest rack always has the largest price on his head and the top contenders of the Premier League will be furiously tracking the foxes scent.

Cheers for Leicester City Wins EPL 2015-2016 Season

Fast Skills And Best Drills U10,U11,U12,U13,U14

messi cuts by defenders

Fast skills and best drills U10,U11,U12,U13,U14 helps the youth players build a foundation of

simple skills to use in game play. Setting up your base moves and working on your footwork is

something you can do everyday by yourself. Learning to move the ball back n forth and side to side

is the base moves needed to learn as you get more feel and touch for the ball. Small touches and

movements can make all the difference when trying to keep defenders on their heels and guessing

where you are going. Learn to touch the ball side to side and use a pull back move the get the

defenders leaning the wrong way. Turn your back to the defender and shield the ball to buy

some time for other player support to gather, but many times you may just have to move the

away from pressure and move into a clear space as you buy time to regroup. Cutting the ball

hard and using the outside part of your foot is always a great skill to master, as you always need

to learn how to keep the head up to view the field. Another tip is the always move towards a ball played

to you, if you wait for a ball to get to you, 70% of the time a defender will pick it off, and just moving

to the ball cuts off that half of a second of a defender making that play. Watch these videos for some

fast skills and best drills U10,U11,U12,U13,U14

Football Facts And Soccer Terms

Lothar Matthaus Most World Cup Apperences     Football facts and soccer terms are fun for coaches to throw around when

talking about this beautiful game. Because in the United States this game is

called Soccer, but everywhere else in the world it’s known as Football,

slightly confusing for most Americans. But since we didn’t invent it,

the terms of the game tend to confuse the new participant.

What’s the touch line?  Who gets the corner kick?  Is a goal kick like a penalty kick? Why is one

player offsides when the other one isn’t? Some say the game was first recorded being played in

Cuju and England in the 1800’s were playing it in the neighborhoods. Also the first known league

was set up in England in 1888, and the FIFA organization we know today was founded in 1904 in

Paris. Acouple of great fun articles about soccer terms and some football facts come from this

10 Soccer Things by Paste Magazine and this neat Brandon Gaille article about 44 Catchy

Soccer Slogans. We laughed at some of these slogans that you might see in Jr. High and High

School locker rooms, but they do make it fun, here 10 of them.

Bustin’ ours to kick yours.
Can’t should never be in an athletes vocabulary.
Don’t go through life without goals.
Eat, Sleep, Play Soccer.
Everyone should have a goal to conquer. I believe I’ll conquer yours.
For the love of the Game.
Heading to the top.
If it’s meant to be, it’s up to me.
If winning isn’t everything, why do they keep score?
If you don’t got guts don’t play the game.
If you’re not playing with all your heart, someone else is, and when you meet her, she’ll win.

Many great sites on the web have soccer terms, here three that we found with good info and easy to search

High Scoring Soccer And 3 Youth Soccer Drills

High scoring soccer and 3 youth soccer drills that will help put the ball in the net.

Seeing the end result after years of practice is the exactly what pros go through to be good at soccer.

Helpful youth soccer drills will create better players, and these videos of high scoring soccer will be

everyday occurrence as the pros get better here in the US. Passing the ball through defenders into

space for your team mate to run onto it is very important to learn. Also keep your crossing the ball

into the box area between the 6 yd line and the 14 yd spot is probably the most dangerous area to

defend against. A good cut back from when you dribble to the end line should be passed back towards

the 4 yrd/ 5yd area for an easy tap-in goal when attacking the end line. Spacing with your other offensive

players is critical when someone shoots at goal, because many deflections of defenders can end up in

front of the goal, and having everyone in one spot leaves an easy goal shot as a missed chance. Brad

Davis of the Houston Dynamo is a great example of learning how to chip the ball with pace in a very

short distance. Also Brad puts the ball at the 6 yd area for his teammate to head it home, a great

example of touch on the chip and spacing of all the Dynamo players on the goal scored. Again, many

youth drills work on just touching the ball lightly to get a feel of how the ball reacts. Watch these videos

for some high scoring soccer and 3 youth soccer drills that can help get them their next goal. [Read more…]
