2015 NCAA Div 1 Soccer Champs

espn 4-0 stanford win ncaa soccer champs 2015  2015 NCAA Div 1 soccer champs are the Stanford Cardinals.

The NCAA Division 1 of Men’s soccer season of 2015, is known as the 56th season of the NCAA championship in college soccer of men’s division 1. Its regular season started last August 28 and lasted until November 2015. This season will be culminating with the Division 1 of Men’s Soccer Championship for December 2015. There are 206 identified teams in the category of Men’s division 1 in this competition. The defending champion were Virginia who were defeated by UCLA, and kept UVA from their 7th title.  The season ended when Stanford defeated Clemson 4-0 , making them the champs for the first time.
The first up to the third quarterfinal rounds were held in the college campus sites found across the U.S during the months of November as well as December for the previous year having the host sites as determined by record and seeding. The four-team college cup finals were played at Children’s Mercy Park found in Kansas City.
The defending champion Virginia Cavaliers were eliminated in this tournament during the second round. This leads to the eventual winning of Stanford as their first ever national title in this competition. The final four teams who are fighting for the national title that includes Syracuse, Akron, Clemson, and Stanford as the champion for this 2015 tournament.
After this tournament, Jordan Morris, the star of Stanford is now part of the official team of Seattle Sounders. Inspite of his age, he is considered to be the most hyped prospects of United States. He is undeniably a good player, which is highly proven by his 7 U.S national team caps after his name. The exploits were enough in landing the trial from Werder Bremen of Bundesliga wherein Morris had been training while on a juggle of deciding between returning to Seattle and even trying his skills overseas.
Sounders will now have the youthful addition of skilled unite as veteran attackers upon bringing Morris to the MLS field. Sigi Schmid, the head coach of Sounders said that Morris has the qualities that he thinks as unteachable qualities. This can be a great asset of this team that will probably lead to their championship while obtaining their national title. Sounders Seattle team is highly impressed with the athleticism of Jordan together with his finishing and rate ability.
Jordan Morris is expected to join in the pre-season of MLS Sounders after the conclusion of USMNT camp. As he becomes a part of Sounders, there will surely be a higher possibility of obtaining a MLS title easier like never before.  Morris can be considered as the team asset that will surely create a hard time to all their opposing teams, so MLS teams will really need to double their training to keep up with the skills Morris already has.

Congratulations 2015 NCAA Div 1 soccer champs are the Stanford Cardinals.

Portland Timbers 2015 MLS Cup Winners

Timbers VS The Crew MLS Cup  Portland Timbers 2015 MLS Cup Winners,

after beating the Columbus Crew 2-1

in an exciting end to end battle for the cup.

The Timbers almost didn’t make the playoffs

this year, but an end of year push put their

15-11-8 record into the top 6 of the West

and into a head on collision course with the Columbus Crew who also finished 15-11-8. Only difference,

goal differential, Crew had a plus 5 and the Timbers only had a plus 2. The Crew have second highest

MLS goal scorer in Kei Kamara, but the Timbers have Diego Valeri, who put in the fastest MLS cup

goal at only 27 seconds into the match. Stage set, Timber dominate the first 15 minutes. At the 6:30

minute mark Lucas Melano picks out Rodney Wallace for a diving header to put Timbers up 2-0 with

less than 7 minutes gone by. Crew shell shocked, gather themselves by the 17th minute, when

pressure on the Timbers Goalie Adam Kwarasey puts the defense into a bad spot and the top

goal scorer for the Crew steps up and pulls one back with a turn around goal putting the match

at 2-1 now. From 18th minute till the 95th minute it was back and forth defensive battle with

Nat Borchers, Adam Ridgewell, Alvas Powell, and Jorge Villafana holding the Crew scoreless

in front of Kwarasey. Coach Caleb Porter had them all playing at top notch championship level

for the last 11 matches, hats off to da coach.

The Timbers pressed all game, 60th minute, corner kick to Wallace, almost goal, 70th minute,

Adi header, almost goal, 80th minute Borchers header, almost goal within inches. The 3D midfielders

Darlington, and the two Diego’s (Chara and Valeri) for the Timbers moved the ball from box to box

setting up the consent pressure on the Crew. What a great year for Will Johnson, Jack Jewsbury,

Fanendo Adi, Max Urruti, and the whole Timbers players and staff for a huge first time MLS Cup win.

The Crew had a great year knocking off the Supporter Sheild winners NY Red Bulls to advance to the

final, so heads high great footballers Ethan Finlay, Federico Higuain, Jack McInerney, Will Trapp,

Tony Tchani, Justin Meram and the whole Crew team, next year can be your year.

MLS In Final 4 Playoffs And Abby Wambach Retires

MLS playoffs 2015   MLS in final 4 playoffs and Abby Wambach retires after a remarkable

career as one of soccer/football’s greatest players ever.

Google the word Abby, what comes up in the first three?  Wambach will change women’s

professional football like Pele did in the 1970’s. The number of goals scored by this unbelievable player

totals to 184.  Most goals scored by any US male or female player to date. Six time US Athlete of

the year, Two Olympic Gold Medals, One World Cup Championship, One FIFA World Player of the year,

and in 2015 named to Time Magazine 100 most influential people in the world, just to name “some” of

the awards this great player has bought in for the US. A Florida Gator player that won them a national

title, ruled the international game for over 14 years and now is taking that winning energy to the board room.

Watch out Corporate America…

2015 MLS Playoffs are on their way, Sporting KC, Toronto FC, LA Galaxy, and New England Rev’s

all made it in the first round but fell to their opponents in a one game playoff. Montreal Impact,

Portland Timbers, Seattle Sounders and DC United all moved on to meet up with the MLS best regular

seasons records NY Red Bulls, FC Dallas, Vancouver Whitecaps, and the Columbus Crew for a two

game aggregate playoff. Red Bulls handled DC United 2-0 to move on, Timbers downed the Whitecaps

2-0, Columbus just got by Montreal 4-3 in exciting matches, but FC Dallas just barely beat the

Sounders in penalty kicks to move on to THE Final FOUR.

Nov 22nd RedBulls take on Columbus Crew 5pm EST and Timbers take on FC Dallas, on the 29th of

Nov all four teams play their final match to see what two teams play for the MLS Cup Dec 6th.

MLS In Final 4 Playoffs and Abby Wambach retires, Goodluck Abby,

thanks for what you did in US Soccer / Football.

NWSL Champions And The Victory Tour Moves On

KC Score 2015 ChampionsNWSL Champions and the victory tour moves on as

women’s soccer grows in fan base across the country.

FC KC claim their second title in two years with a 1-0 victory

over Seattle Reign Oct 1st in Portland OR for the NWSL

championship. Nicole Barnhart and the KC team defense

dialed up a shutout against the number one team in wins

for the 2015 NWSL regular season, what a strong way to end it.

Amy Rodriguez knocked in the only goal, just passed Hope Solo, from a great placed cross

from Heather O’Reilly who received a nice through ball from Lauren Holiday just seconds

earlier. Both teams battled all game up and down the pitch. Seattle had a 70th minute blown

call for a possible pk but the ref must have been out of position. Megan Rapinoe rattled the post

with a nice shot in the second half. Give credit to the head coach Vlatko Andonovski,  his staff set up

a great team defense model to shut down Kim Little and the high powered Seattle Reign. Many great

players on both sides, and many small battles, Solo vs Barnhart, Holiday vs Rapinoe, Rodriguez vs

Barnes, Sauerbunn vs Little, and Coach Laura vs Coach Vlatko. Evenly matched clubs, flip a coin

and you’ll pick a winner 55/45 after 100 flips, it’s only inches in a championship game. The 2015 NWSL

season ends with many awards given out and many reflections of highlights of each club across the

country as they all now get ready for 2016. Golden Boot award goes to Crystal Dunn of the Washington

Spirit being the top goal scorer for the 2015 season. Becky Sauerbunn from FCKC got the defender of

the year award. Michele Betos of the Portland Thorns got the best goalie award. Danielle Colaprico of

the Chicago Red Stars got the rookie of the year award. Seattle’s Laura Harvey pulled in the Coach of

the year award and the Reign received the “supporters shield” having the best record in the league.

Here are some links to videos about each teams highlights through out the season.

The US Women’s Soccer Team Continues It’s Victory Tour Across The USA.

Last two victories came against the Haiti national team who subbed in when

the Australian national team had to cancel after making the commitment to come

play in these two friendlies during Sept of 2015 schedule. Haiti was no match for the

number one team in the world, with to losses to the US by 5-0 shutout in Detroit MI,

followed by a 8-0 shutout in Birmingham AL. Carli Lloyd, Crystal Dunn, Heather O’Reilly,

Amy Rodriguez, Alex Morgan and Christen Press put on an offense show of power and quickness

to keep the crowds cheering for the 2015 World Cup Champs. Defense saw little challenges

Hope Solo, Becky Sauerbunn, Meghan Klingenberg, Ali Krieger, Julie Johnston(who got a goal)

Tobin Heath, Lauren Holiday, Whitney Engen, Kelley O’Hara, Megan Rapinoe, Abby Wambach,

Lori Chalupny, Morgan Brian and Christie Rampone all had great matches sharping their skills

verses a young Haiti team.  Thanks Haiti for stepping up.

Hopefully the experience of watching the NWSL Champions and the victory tour

moves on as women’s soccer grows in fan base

across the country. Watch the videos below

NWSL Playoffs Are Here

Chicago RedStars FC  NWSL playoffs are here and teams/fans are excited.

After an exciting 2015 campaign during a World Cup

year, the women are ready to crown another

champion. After FC Kansas City won it last year and

Seattle Reign won it two years ago, the third season is about to end on a high note.

The Chicago Red Stars are on a mission to be

the best here in 2015, but the Washington Spirit

with Golden Boot winner Crystal Dunn might have something to say about that. The great thing is,

all soccer fans get to enjoy this top notch competition, and see football at it’s finest right here in the

US. Chicago’s head coach Rory Dames says his “team is ready to go”, after playing the Houston Dash

to a 1-1 draw Sunday Sept 6th in Toyota Park. Christen Press late goal from an assist off the head of

Julie Johnston, saved the momentum from a late year loss to a draw and positive energy flowing to

Sundays rematch with FC Kansas City. Coach Vlatko Andonovski has FC KC ready to come into

Chicago with Amy Rodriguez on fire right now with two goals and one assist in their last match

of the year. This will a great match with both teams only one point from each other in the standings,

also a nice mix of World Cup champs with Heather O’Reilly, Lauren Holiday, Becky Sauerbrunn,

along with Rodriguez to play against the Red Stars with Christen Press, Julie Johnston, and Lori

Chalupny. The Red Stars are showing amazing young talented first year players, but the whole

team is solid from top to bottom. Goalie Karina LeBlanc, just announced her retirement, and goalie

Michele Dalton both had a great 2015 season. Defenders Arin Gilliland, Abby Erceg, Julie Johnston,

Michelle Lomnicki, Samatha Johnson, Taryn Hemmings and Rachel Quon all are very tough to beat.

Excellent midfielders Danielle Colaprico, Vanessa DiBernardo, Lori Chalupny, Mary Luba, Zakiya

Bywaters, and Alyssa Mautz keep the possession and passing alive. The speed and striking proof

comes from  Adriana Leon, Jen Hoy, Christen Press, Sofia Huerta, Cara Wells, and Melissa Tancredi

who all put the Red Stars into the playoffs. Seattle Reign get to host the Washington Spirit next Sunday

the 13th, with Seattle pulling in 43 points for the 2015 season earns them NWSL Shield award for most

points in the season. Hope Solo, Megan Rapinoe, Kim Little, and Lauren Barnes from Seattle will

all have to slow down the Spirit’s Crystal Dunn and her supporting cast strong players Ali Krieger,

Megan Oyster, and Spirit goalie Ashlyn Harris will be ready for the mighty Reign of Seattle.

Good luck Laura Harvey head coach of Seattle and Mark Parsons of Washington’s head coach.

2016 is right around the corner, look out for Houston Dash, Portland Thorns FC, Western NY

Flash, BlueSky FC, and Boston Breakers all look to be in the playoffs next year, and everything can change in a year.

NWSL playoffs are here, go out and support it, it will be exciting football.

US Women’s Soccer Team Built-In Excellence

WC Winners US Soccer Team 1999   US women’s soccer team built-in excellence and over 30 years in the making.

Many talk about how well the 2015 World Championship US team played this year

in Canada, however in 1985 it all started with a shoe string budget and a huge dream.

In August 1985 Coach Mike Ryan took the US women’s team to their

first international match, in 1991 the US entered the first ever women’s world cup event in China. The

US won their group stage and eventually made it to the final four. These final teams

have been some of the strongest women’s programs for over 24 years, Germany, Norway, Sweden and

the USA have been strong for most of these last three decades. Japan, China, France and Brazil now

have up and coming talent to challenge for top billing in the women’s game, but the US have won the

most, and have always been the biggest threat. Coaches like Anson Dorrance, Tony Dicicco, Lauren

Gregg, April Heinrichs, Greg Ryan, Pia Sundhage, and now Jill Ellis with Tom Sermanni stepping

in one year to help out Jill Ellis. These coaches and their assistants / trainers put this US team from

almost nothing to the well oiled success machine in the world of women’s football today. Many great

players laid the foundation for what we have today in the US success, Carin Jennings and April

Heinrichs were two of the first success stories. Then came Mia Hamm, Julie Foudy, Kristine Lilly,

Joy Fawcett and maybe the strongest defender the US has ever had Michelle Akers. Akers would

mark the best players from any opposing team and crush their will to be affective, all while she battled

chronic fatigue syndrome. Even though Michelle was one of our toughest warriors and Hamm, Foudy,

Lilly, and Fawcett always found a way to get a goal. Defender Carla Overbeck and Goalie Briana Scurry

really took this team into the late 90’s getting ready for the 96 Olympics in Atlanta and the 1999 US

hosted World Cup. The US won the gold medal in 1996 but NBC did not air the match or even cutting

away for a five-minute peek into the ladies winning the gold. This bad decision was corrected in 1999

when the US hosted the world cup and the largest stadiums were booked by Fifa to play these

matches. Every one of the games was a sell out. ABC got it right, when we all witnessed the China

USA match go to pk’s. Every US player nailed theirs, and Briana Scurry stopped the 3rd Chinese

players shot, setting the stage for Brandi Chastain’s ice water in the veins shot that sent the US

into a victorious ROAR. And oh, btw, she took her jersey off in the celebration showing her sports bra,

you’ll see more shin on any given beach these days, but some people had to make it an indictment,

listen you win a world championship and let’s see you react after 17 yrs of hard work and practice /

training. Listen, practice your pk’s,  look at the ball, take a big breath before you start your approach

to the ball, get your heart rate down, then attack it and put it on frame to a corner with pace, don’t

over kick it, you have the advantage, use it , practice it. Overbeck, Fawcett, Lilly, Hamm, and Chastain

all showed you how to take a pk, learn it, win it.

The 1999 Rose Bowl final was the largest watch US women’s sporting event ever watched. It’s great

watching these great plays over and over. Look for a defensive save Kristen Lilly made vs China in

1999 using her head just like Klingenberg did this year vs Sweden.

Watch this great video below about the US women’s soccer team built-in excellence and remember where we came from.

OMC Oh My Carli, TEAM USA World Cup Champs

Super Carli Lloyd US World Champion  OMC Oh My Carli, TEAM USA World Cup Champs!!!

Carli Lloyd has put herself and team USA into the record books.

Amazing performance from ALL US women’s team members and coaching

staff to pull this one off. With all the pressure of knowing we as good as we are, and playing in our back

yard of Canada for most of the US to attend if they wished, this couldn’t have gone any sweeter.

Wambach’s last match played for the US and probably Christie Rampone’s last match however both

women seem to be able to play into their sixties if they wish. What a send off for the veterans of the

squad and a huge step up for any women wanting to join this amazing bunch of athletes. This defense

is one of the strongest in any World stage competition, men or women, only one goal given up by this

whole team going into the final. Not just how good Hope Solo (goal keeper) played, but the front four of

the defense and the subs that came in. Look for underlined names with mp3 interview links during

World Cup 2015 from US players below, done by Men in Blazers. Awesome showing by Becky

Sauerbrunn, Julie Johnston, Meghan Klingenberg, Ali Krieger, Kelley O’Hara, Heather O’Reilly,

Lori Chalupny, and the midfield who dropped back so much to help. This team got better every match,

and rolled with the punches. Wonderful patterns of play produced by Christen Press, Tobin Heath,

Lauren Holiday, Morgan Brian, Amy Rodriguez and Shannon Boxx. Sydney Leroux saw sometime

but it was Alex Morgan and Megan Rapinoe who put the pressure on the opposing defenses and

opened up lanes for Carli Lloyd to work her magic. Rapinoe and Morgan really took alot of the

concentration of the opponents. Lloyd was on a mission!  And no one could stop this dynamo…

Setting world cup records with the only hat trick in the final match, the time it took to achieve it,

16 minutes total from one to third goal,  received both the Silver Boot and Golden Ball award for

this world cup tournament. Having 6 goals and assisting on three others, Lloyd was the force to put

the US into the history books. Three time world cup winners, the US has the toughest team in the World!!!

If you are a U8, U9, U10, U11, U12, U13, U14, or U15 player,  go out and see these women play, they

have a great league at http://www.nwslsoccer.com . Once again congratulations Coach Jill Ellis,

Hope Solo gets the Golden Glove Award,

and OMC Oh My Carli, TEAM USA World Cup Champs!

Carli Lloyd for President….

Shout out to Unbelievable Super Subs Teammates of the World Champ’s Whitney Engen, Ashlyn Harris, and Alyssa Naeher

YOU ALL WON THIS FOR US…..

Oh, BTW, FIFA, NO More Artificial Turf !!!!!

U9,U10,U11,U12,U13 Girls Watching World Cup Team USA

USA Womens Team WC 2015

U9,U10,U11,U12,U13 girls watching world cup team USA taking

care of business verses Australia 3-1, Sweden 0-0, and Nigeria 1-0, with two US

wins and only one tie, winning the grp D “group of death”.  Now the US is up against

the up and coming Colombian team who beat France, the third ranked women’s team in the world

and with one win, one tie, one loss, they made it through to the next round on June 22nd meeting

team USA. The US squad is very defensively solid. Hope Solo and the defensive four in the back have

only given up one goal in 3 matches and shutting out two tough teams in Nigeria and Sweden.

The USA old coach Pia Sundhage is now coaching Sweden and gets the highly favored Germans on

June 20th. Our US coach today is Jill Ellis who many think is doing a great job modeling this new

squad with the solid veterans team USA is fielding. Offensive is alittle shaky still,  Alex Morgan is

just know coming back from a tough injury and Abby Wambach is trying to work with the new

midfielders and support strikers. Megan Rapinoe saved the day in the first match with two goals

and Christen Press add one to put USA up 3-1 on Australia, and Hope Solo had many amazing saves.

Sweden match was all defense, the midfield and forwards for team USA could not put anything together,

but atleast defense saved the point. In the Nigeria match, PLEASE COACH ELLIS,

STOP WITH THE SHORT CORNER KICK !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We have Wambach, Press, Rapinoe, Sauerbrunn, Johnston, Holiday, AND LLOYD !!!!!!!!

Put the ball on goal between the 12 yd and six yard marker and let them take it out of the air….

We all screamed at the TV during the Nigeria match, someone in Canada heard us,

next play Wambach scores……   GOALLLLLLLLL…. What a concept. PUT THE BALL ON GOAL

The short corner kick play works .000001% of the time, it puts everyone out of sync

and CREATES NO DANGER. On the flip side, a ball put 6 to 15 yrds from goal, has a 6% scoring finish….

Pull up 100 corner kicks taken by our US women’s team,  6 GOALS over 100 tries, do the math.

PLEASE, stop the short corner!!!! USE OUR HEIGHT Advantage….

The U9,U10,U11,U12,U13 girls watching world cup team USA want to see their team

bring home the CUP.  Go USA

FIFA Scandal 2015 And The Women’s World Cup

US Womens Defender Players

FIFA scandal 2015 and the women’s world cup starts June 6th in Canada.

What a week, Wed May 27th only two days before the FIFA organization

votes for a new president, six people were picked up at the FIFA hotel by

Swiss police on behalf of the US Attorney General’s office and the FBI. Update at end of this article..

Later 10 others were nabbed across the world to make it 16 in total that were arrested for corruption with

bribery charges. On Friday May 28th Sepp Blatter was again voted in as the president of FIFA for the

fifth term. Can you imagine? Russia has a world cup coming up in 2018, now is that in the balance?

Is there proof of any wrong doing on how they landed that event? How about Qatar, people dying in

building the stadiums, and the event moved to the Nov 2022 for high summer heat and religious

reasons given. Sepp Blatter is in the hot seat right now, soon more people will fall in the FIFA scandal

as more turn on the others who took more than $110 to $160 million in kick backs from what Loretta

Lynch US Attorney General and FBI James Comey have released to date. The real question is how

does this affect the Women’s World Cup kicking off June 6th in Canada? Will the highly favored US

squad finish with the cup after losing to Japan in 2011 on penalty kicks? The US team looks very

focused as Abby Wambach many be playing her final matches for the red, white, and blue kits after

an amazing career and record breaking achievements. The squad for Canada WC 15 looks like Shannon

Boxx, Morgan Brian, Lori Chalupny, Whitney Engen, Ashlyn Haris, Tobin Heath, Lauren Holiday, Julie

Johnston, Meghan Klingenberg, Ali Krieger, Sydney Leroux, Carli Lloyd, Alex Morgan, Alyssa Naeher,

Kelley O’Hara, Heather O’Reilly, Christen Press, Christie Rampone, Megan Rapinoe, Amy Rodriguez,

Becky Saurbrunn, Hope Solo, and All World Abby Wambach. Coach Jill Ellis has a high powered

offense with Wambach and Leroux while Alex Morgan hopfully recovers from an injury. The defense

looks strong with Solo, Saurbrunn, Klingenberg, Johnston, Krieger, O’Hara, and stronghold master

Rampone. Midfield is scrappy and quick with amazing over lapping runs from Rapinoe, Lloyd, Press,

Heath, Holiday, Engen, Brian, and Boxx all these players are all over the pitch.

Hopefully the FIFA scandal 2015 and the women’s world cup doesn’t mess up the US team from

playing June 8th in Canada, because we have a huge chance to bring home the hardware…..

GOOD Luck Ladies, can’t wait to celebrate with you… Great videos below
