Seattle Sounders MLS Cup Champs 2016

Seattle Sounders MLS Cup Champs 2016, and what a battle it was.

Seattle Sounders have defeated Toronto FC with 5 goals over 4 in penalties after a scoreless play for 120 minutes in a frigid and extreme setting. Toronto fans would not believe how the group won the 2016 cup because they have given poor performances in the mid-part of August. When there was a coaching change until the playoffs, they have performed more eagerly and positively.

The group they have defeated in the Cup outplayed them for the most part of the soccer league. As a matter of fact, they have struggled a lot to make a perfect and amazing single shot. Nevertheless, they have given Toronto FC a challenging game because they have performed a resilient defence. With the help from Stefan Frei, the goal keeper, they have caused headaches to their opponents. Frei has given a fine work for a lunging and a one-handed save during overtime.

Even though they have performed behind their coaches’ expectations during the entire competition, they have prevailed against their strong opponents who only missed one penalty kick out of 6 chances. Unluckily, they missed two. That is why they have defeated Toronto FC with great resilience and determination. Though their performance appeared inferior, their fighting spirit and trust with each other are some of the reasons why they won.

The first part of the game became more physical. However, Toronto have dominated because they were also resolute to win their first MLS league championship. During the 15th minute of the game, Sebastian Giovinco, the star forward, effectively played the ball that has given Altidore the chance to assist Jonathan Osorio to make a shot. But, Stefan Frei made a great save. After 30 minutes of a competitive game, Justine Morrow crossed again to set up for Altidore but Frei performed an excellent defence.

Toronto FC was very conscientious to minimize Nicolas Lodeiro’s influence to his entire team, Seattle Sounders. At first, they were successful but the 2016 champions frustrated their opponent with an extraordinary defence with a spectacular performance from Roman Torres, the central defender. Since both weary teams did not have scores, they have settled a shootout. Seattle Sounders got 5 while Toronto FC got 4 to win their first MLS cup.

Because of the team’s success, Roman Torres and Stefan Frei were mobbed by their entire teammates. They were applauded and admired by many spectators who were present in the BMO Field. Colorado Rapids and Montreal Impact were also part of the MLS final four. But in the end, Seattle Sounders MLS Cup Champs 2016, and now we move on to EPL. Its inaugural season began in 1995 and soccer news stirred around the new formation of teams, event location and new players. In the year 1996, the soccer news conveyed the League’s first spring training and first player. As the attendance continuous to raise, the ESPN television network started to televised soccer news and this is one of the reasons why its popularity ascended throughout the nation. During this year, more soccer news reports and members of the media began covering MLS events.
Supporters turned out in large fashion to catch a glimpse of their favorite players and teams. In the year 1998, MLS underwent its initial expansion season, which meant big changes for the League. With the addition of two teams, which brought the club count from its original 10 to the 12, soccer news introduced the newest League members as Miami and Chicago. Both teams proved powerful during their first year as they advanced to the playoffs. The following year, Columbus Crew Stadium officially opened as the first major league stadium in the United States of America that was constructed specifically for soccer.
Its presence paid off as thousands of fans packed the house to watch featured competitions. In the year 2002, MLS removed two of their 12 clubs from the roster and once again returned to 10 teams. Miami and Tampa Bay were no longer League teams, but were replaced in 2004 with other expansion teams. Club Deportivo Chivas USA and Real Salt Lake joined the League and brought the club number back up to its current 12 teams. The clubs of MLS consist of international and domestic competitors. With a varied roster, players are constantly being featured in soccer news magazines, soccer news televised interviews and programs. MLS continues to gain in popularity in the United States of America and around the world.
Major soccer news coverage, exciting competitions and cheering fans are among the many indications that MLS is here to stay. Soccer shows no signs of slowing down throughout the world. Best Soccer Drills U8,U9,U10, And U11 For Faster Skills

Map The Drill Soccer U8 to U12

Best soccer drills U8,U9,U10, And U11 for faster skills are all over the internet. Sometimes mixing and

matching two drills together helps get more out of the time put into the drill. Many times coaches have

seen a drill, and each day through out a week of practice, have added one more skill to the end of a drill

to keep pushing the player to react to what is put in front of them. Soccer is a game of consent reaction

to how different each play develops, there is no call in a play from the side lines, stop for a time out,

these players have to always adjusting to what is put before them. Mixing dribbling and passing drills

with shooting drills always made sense, but it sometimes it’s remembering maybe to put a defensive

player into the drill maybe playing at half speed just to give some resistance but letting the offensive

player to hone their skills sets in live competitive drill play. Here are a couple ideas on dribbling ,

passing drill ideas, and not to forget the goalies for U10 level.

Below we put in a couple very good drills online, also check out our search engine bar above

in the upper right corner. The MLS is a great place to watch these techniques in action,

Best Soccer Drills For Defensive Goalie Success

la galaxy vs san jose earthquakes

Best soccer drills for defensive goalie success as we see more and more shut-outs in important

matches. Many coaches say the best offense is a great defense. Even if the offense is having an off

day, if your defense puts up a goose egg against the competition,  your offense should sneak in a goal

or two with PK’s and own goals. Good goalie play is probably the biggest element of successful

shut-outs / clean sheets. Just getting a hand on a good shot and putting it off to the side is one most

practiced skills that could save a shut-out. The defensive angles your back 5 take on pushing the

offense to the outer edges in the defensive third is so important to successful goalie victories.

As a goalie, when in doubt, punch or hit the ball out of play, as regrouping is always safer than making

sure you catch every ball. Watch these MLS gems of shut-outs, as you will see the results of best

soccer drills for defensive goalie success in action. Sometimes your best defender is the goal post.

Offensive Soccer Tips In The Attacking Third

Clint Dempsey Seattle Sounders

Offensive soccer tips in the attacking third and putting pressure on the defense is what every coach

hunts for as they watch game film. With Clint Dempsey and Landon Donovan roaming the MLS, there

is no shortage of great offensive soccer brewing here in the states. Some key tips to watch for in these

MLS game film clips are watching for simple basic shots not being over powering however the shots are

kept on frame so they have a chance to score. Deflections happen, direct free kicks are stroked not over

shot, and head balls are directed downward to keep the angle tougher for the goal keeper. When

chipping the balls from the wings, shoot to keep the ball between the 6yd line and the 14yd pk spot,

that’s a deadly zone for head ball goals with power. Watch these MLS pro’s and get your own offensive

soccer tips in the attacking third. See Landon Donovan put on a clinic with a hat trick of his own. [Read more…]

Goalie And Defensive Teamwork For U10,U11,U12,U14,U16

Real Salt Lake vs FC Dallas 2013

Goalie and defensive teamwork for U10,U11,U12,U14,U16, these MLS matches are a great source of

watching teamwork from the goalie to the back four defensive players. Jimmy Nielsen the Sporting KC

goal keeper puts on an absolute clinic vs. the club from Toronto FC. This game shows why Nielsen is

the MLS leader of career goals against avg. , and why shut outs are not uncommon in Sporting KC

matches. Another great goal keeper to watch is Jeff Attinella of Real Salt Lake, quietly they have

put up some great shut outs and the best points total for the Western Division of the MLS so far in

2013. New York Red Bulls are clicking on all cylinders in the Eastern Division and the goal keeper

Luis Robles is the main reason why the defense is making a move in this hot July weather, putting

this team in the top 3 of battle for the east. The defensive four in front of these keepers are limiting

the quality of many shots, covering up the angles and clearing the ball from danger quickly. One keeper

who had a great game, but his defensive four in front of him let him down would be Toronto FC

Joe Bendik, who kept TFC in the Sporting KC match with many quality saves, but the lack of defensive

marking allowed too many easy chances through. Toronto in this match would be a bad example

for goalie and defensive teamwork for U10,U11,U12,U14,U16 players. [Read more…]

DC United Making A Run On The 2012 MLS Playoff’s

DC United is on a great run for the playoffs in Oct 2012, they are only points away. After 4 out

of 5 in the win category, the men in black are playing great defense to get a playoff seeding. Against

The New England Revolution, DC got down 1-0 in the 29th minute, only to turn around 2 minutes

later to score on a crossing run that left the ball on a great long shot making it 1-1. In the second half

the defense stiffened and in the 63rd minute after a “Play On” call by the ref, DC got the winner to take

the 3 points away from the Revolution. In the latest match against Toronto FC, both teams had a clean

sheet going into the 87th minute, when Toronto’s Goal Keeper made a big error and gave an easy goal to Salahi.

This match was in the hand of FC Dallas by the 26th minute, with the goal post being the

goal keepers best friend though out the first half. The second half, the rout was on. The long
